Carol May Schaedig, 83, of Alpena passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at her home.

 

Carol May Elowsky was born in Metz on May 15, 1939, to the late Albert and Florence (Schroader) Elowsky.  She married Denny Schaedig on May 24, 1958.  He preceded her in death on November 28, 2015.  She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Carol enjoyed gardening, singing and played the accordion for many bands in the area.

 

Surviving are two sons, Mark Schaedig, Glenn Schaedig; 4 grandchildren, Shelby Schaedig, Spencer (Bri) Schaedig, Nicole Schaedig, Matthew Schaedig; great grandson, Silas; several nieces and nephews.

 

Mrs. Schaedig was preceded in death by 2 sons, David Schaedig and Wayne Schaedig; 2 brothers, Gordon Elowsky and Marvin Elowsky.

 

Visitation will take place at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Erickson officiating.  Arrangements are being handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
