Carl Dale Klee, 86, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center – Midland.
Carl Dale Klee was born on June 10, 1936, in Rogers City, Michigan to the late Reuben and Julia (Klein) Klee. He graduated from Rogers City High School in 1956 and attended Northeastern School of Commerce. On May 2, 1959, he married JoAnn Satkowiak at St. Hedwigs Catholic Church in Bay City, Michigan. They were married for 63 years. Carl worked at Abitibi for 32 years as Machine Tender and sailed The Great Lakes for Calicite Corporation for 7 years. He loved summers at the cottage on the AuSable River in Mio, traveling, going to the casino, and ice fishing.
Surviving are his wife, JoAnn; four daughters, Janie (Jeffrey) Sobeck, Maureen Haken, Kay Anne Sayre, Lori (Rick) Schultz; 10 grandchildren, Christopher Sobeck, Janel (Joshua) Duby, Dakotah Haken, Zachary Haken, Madison Haken, Chelsea Sayre, Elizabeth Sayre, Graham Sayre, Katie (Raymond) Meddaugh, Amanda Schultz; four great grandchildren, Sharon Sobeck, Brixxon Kinsey, Gracin Kinsey, Rilyn Haken; siblings, Patrick (Phyllis) Klee, Ronald (Joyce) Klee, Janice Vanhollebeke; and several nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Klee; sister, Linda Hall; and son-in-law Todd Haken.
Memorial visitation will take place Monday, September 19, 2022, at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. with Rev. Tyler Bischoff officiating. Arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.
