Betty Ristau

Betty Ann Ristau, 90, of Alpena passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena.

Betty Ann Trapp was born on May 3, 1929 in Alpena to the late Max and Hannah (Isackson) Trapp. On June 7, 1947, she married John Ristau. Together, they enjoyed polka dancing. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2012. Betty enjoyed cooking, flowers, birds, and her cat “Weewee”.

Surviving are her five children, Gary (MarySue) Ristau, Geraldine Seres, David (Bobbi Jo) Ristau, John Ristau, Donald (Virginia) Ristau; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ristau was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Timmy; grandson, Robert Seres, son-in-law, Daniel Seres; two daughters-in-law, Nancy Ristau and Mary Ristau.

Visitation will take place Wednesday at Bannan Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. and continue there Thursday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Arnie Kirschner officiating.

Interment:  Holy Cross Cemetery
