Betty Kirschner

Betty Kirschner, 91, of Alpena passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at Medilodge of Green View.

Born November 16, 1930, to the late Frank and Cecilia Pilarski. She was a lifelong resident of Alpena. On August 23, 1952, she married the love of her life Donald Kirschner. They were married 69 wonderful years, never leaving each other’s side. Together they raised two wonderful daughters. Betty was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was an avid gardener and exceptional cook. Betty had much love for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Donald; daughter, Cindy (Clint) Lee; granddaughters, Stephanie (Dave Edwards) Rings, Missy (Sean Rollf) Gaylord, Lisa (John Miller) Gaylord; grandson, Nick (Alexis Ferguson) Lee; great grandchildren, Kylie Wolfgang, Eric Wolfgang, Emily Mousseau, Keegan, Keely, Kasen, Kai Rollf, Makenna & Declan Miller; great-great grandchildren, Colton Moldenhauer and Holly Thomson.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Kirschner, granddaughter, Kelli Jo Gaylord, three sisters, Alice Otremba, Lucille Zwolinski, and brother, Sylvester Pilarski.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
Per her wishes, no memorial services will take place.
