Belvin Lyons

Belvin Victor Lyons, 90, of Drummond Island passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Hillman Haven.

Belvin was born on January 11, 1929, in Brighton, Vermont to the late Alfred and Minnie (Scott) Hill. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Belvin retired as an accountant at General Motors. He was a member of Drummond Island Lutheran Church and served as treasurer for the Drummond Island Lions. Belvin loved cats and enjoyed basket weaving, stained glass, and was an all-around artist.

Surviving are his four nieces, Patricia (J.B.) Williams; Jayne (Keith) Harless; Julia (Jon) Wilcox; Sharon (Larry) Vanderveer; three nephews, Melvin (Jerry Ann) Sellers, Lambert Sellers, Dean Sellers; and several great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lyons was preceded in death by his two sisters, Florina Sellers, Vera Houle; and brother, Donald Lyons.

Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
