Barbara Lee Johnson, 79, of Hillman passed away at her home on October 23, 2021, with her loving family and receiving hospice services.
Barb was born August 6, 1942, in Gilford to the late Lester and Gladys (Booher) Johnson. Barb enjoyed bird watching, adult coloring, cooking, painting, and spending time with her extended family and friends. Barb retired to Hillman in 2000 after living many years in Croswell. She worked at the Cadillac house in Lexington for several years and was greatly missed upon her retirement. Barb has gone home to join her parents; sisters, Mary, and Betty; brother, Bill; nephew, Jeff; and beloved dog Dukie.
She will be greatly missed by her sisters, Judy Brown, Cathryn Johnson; along with her caregivers Tom Brown, Louise Brown, and Deb Shawdash. Barb will be remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews, Scott (Robin) Urban, Derek (Tammy) Urban, Troy (Louise) Brown, Sandy Brown, Chuck (Debbie) Bliss, Norman (Shelly) Bliss, Linda (Jim) Eagle, Marilyn (Rob) Davis along with many, many, great nieces, and nephews.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 5 p.m. at the Gilford Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.
Donations in remembrance of Barbara can be made to Hospice of Michigan, Huron Humane Society or Elk Country Animal Shelter.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church – Royston.
