Alvin Amelotte

Alvin Gerald Amelotte, 92, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Alvin was born on March 19, 1928 in Spratt, Michigan to the late Joseph and Grace (Allen) Amelotte. He served in the United States Army. On August 5, 1950, he married Arlene Goodrich. Alvin worked for the Flint Board of Education, retiring in 1985. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Alvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Arlene; two children, Kenneth (Nancy) Amelotte, Carey Onore; three grandchildren, Michele Amelotte, Jessica Konarzewski, Vicki (Jimmie) Branton; two great grandchildren, Logan Konarzewski and Bodie Shanafelt.

Mr. Amelotte was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Timothy Onore; granddaughter, Jennifer Onore; siblings, Voyle Amelotte, Thomas Amelotte, Ivan Amelotte, Nina VanSipe, and Victor Amelotte.

A private memorial service will take place at Bannan Funeral Home on Friday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Seok Nam Lim officiating. For those unable to attend, live streaming will be available at www.bannanfuneralhome.com.
