Ronald Lawrence Beaulieu

May 29, 1947 ~ August 8, 2018 (age 71)

Ronald Lawrence Beaulieu, 71, of Alpena passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Precious Days Care Home.

Ronnie was born in Alpena on May 29, 1947 to the late Harold and Phyllis (Lawrence) Beaulieu.  Ronnie was an extremely unique individual.  He was very determined to live his life and make his own decisions on what happened to him and his life regardless of the consequences.  Ronnie was known and enjoyed by many people, especially his housemates and staff at Blue Horizons AFC whom became his family over the 28 years that he resided there.  Those who were allowed into his life to share his journey experienced his humor, his many musical talents and performances and his sly smile when he was being stubborn.

He was a collector of items that had very little value but were his personal treasures such as pop can tops and milk jug rings.  Ronnie was a writer and had many paper notes, loved his music, records and tapes.  He was an artist drawing many pictures.  Ronnie loved and respected his mother and truly felt loss when she passed away along with his step-dad, who taught him how to fish and stuck by him over the years, treating him as if he was his own son.  Ronnie always talked about his mother, and Jim Parker, his stepdad.  He is now at peace with them.

Visitation for Ronnie will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday from 12 noon until time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. with The Very Reverend William J. McClure, Jr. officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
