Patrick Pokorski, 62, of Alpena passed away with his son, Ross on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at their home.

Patrick was born in Dearborn on April 26, 1955 to the late Theodore and Rose (Woszczyna) Pokorski. On June 26, 1976, he married the former Karen Shriner. He as an active member of the community serving in various capacities some including: Presque Isle Township Supervisor, first responder/EMT for Presque Isle Volunteer Fire Department #2, chair of the advisory group for the combined state parks of Negwegon, Rockport and Thompson Harbor, Michigan Science Olympiad, Masons, Lions Club and many more. He was known locally as the "Balloon Man" and the face of "Shout Eureka!" Science Discovery program.

He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter, Demelza (Don Johnson) Pokorski; 6 siblings, Rosemarie Pokorski, Daniel (Sherry) Pokorski, John (LeAnn) Pokorski, Michael (Theresa) Pokorski, Richard (Dr. Cheryl Ruby) Pokorski, Theodore (Gloria) Pokorski.

Private graveside and memorial services have taken place for Patrick and his son Ross. Funeral arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.  

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
