Emma Alma (Timm) Krentz

January 30, 1925 ~ April 26, 2018 (age 93)

Emma Alma Krentz, 93, of Herron passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital.

Emma Alma Timm was born January 30, 1925 in Alpena to the late Fredinand and Lena (Wilke) Timm.  She married Adolph Krentz on June 2, 1945.  He preceded her in death on December 11, 2003.  She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church – Hubbard Lake.  Emma enjoyed gardening, canning, making rugs, crocheting and driving her Farmall C tractor.  She was affectionally known as “grandma great”.

Surviving are 2 children, Myra and Aaron Boboltz, Raymond and Peggy Krentz; 8 grandchildren, Bruce Boboltz, Mark (Rochelle) Boboltz, Arlyn Boboltz, Adam Boboltz, Leroy (Heidi) Krentz, Derek (Courtney) Krentz, Melissa Sommerfeld, Jason Sommerfeld; 8 great grandchildren, Arlyn II, Ian, Dustin, Corey, Cody, Keira, Lorelei, Emmett; 2 great-great grandchildren, Emilia, Stella; 2 sisters, Helen Hemmingson, Myra (Paul) Meadors; brother, Wilmer Timm; sister-in-law, Elenore Timm; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Krentz was preceded in death by 2 infant brothers, Robert, Elmer; brother, Ewald Timm; 2 sisters, Adeline Thiem and Evelyn Christianson.

Visitation will take place on Sunday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 2 – 8 p.m. and will continue on Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Hubbard Lake from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Llewellyn officiating.

Interment: St. Paul Cemetery
