Dolores Susan (Losinski) Jasman

March 3, 1940 ~ October 2, 2018 (age 78)

Dolores Susan (Losinski) Jasman, 78, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Medilodge – Greenview, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Dolores Susan Losinski was born March 3, 1940 in Alpena and married husband Eugene Jasman June 18, 1960.  Dolores was an inspiration to many as a volunteer and active member in community groups. These groups included: All Saints Parish, St. Anne’s funeral ministry, Ladies Sodality, Rosary Group #12, taught Catechism, volunteered for American Red Cross blood drives, MidMichigan Medical Center’s Auxiliary, a supporter of Girl Scouts.

Dolores worked in the customer service industry, as she never met a stranger and was at ease in any situation. She was a hard worker, but also loved to play. She was an avid puzzler. You could always find her working on a crossword or jigsaw puzzle with her sister Rosemary. The two sisters were inseparable, for years they walked 2-3 miles a day.

Dolores was an enthusiastic supporter of the arts and the Detroit Tigers. She enjoyed attending plays at the local playhouses, but especially loved music. Although she never played an instrument, her children all remember her lovingly singing to them and she had a large music collection. She delighted in attending her grandchildren’s school performances. Dolores frequently attended and traveled to live concerts. She never missed a Detroit Tigers’ game on radio or TV and loved to travel to Detroit to watch them play at the stadium.

She is survived by her husband Eugene; her five children: William (Kyle Stack) Jasman, Cheryl (Andy) Pozniak, Julie Quantz, Jennifer (Steven) Sherman, Michael (Evonne) Jasman; her nine grandchildren: Amanda, Hanna, Edward, Zachary, Tabetha, Tairah, Rose, Raina and Mary.

She was preceded in death by her mother Florence (Jaskolski) Losinski; and sister Rosemary (Losinski) Trelfa.

Visitation will be at Bannan Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. with the Rosary at 3 p.m. and parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday at St. Mary Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Muszkiewicz officiating.
