Clarence David Zolnierek, 84, of Alpena and his beloved dog, Bubbles, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at his home.
Clarence was born in Alpena on October 4, 1934 to the late Joseph and Thelma (Szymanowicz) Zolnierek and married Janet Greer on August 6, 1960. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2008. He sailed on the Great Lake for Inland Lake Management retiring as a First Mate in 1999. He was a member of the Corvette Car Club and enjoyed wood working and gunsmithing.
Surviving are his 2 children, Timothy Zolnierek, Susan Zolnierek; grandson, Christopher Hill; great granddaughter, Zelia Hill; brother, Walter (Donna) Zolnierek; sisters-in-law, Janet Zolnierek and Bernice Zolnierek.
Mr. Zolnierek was preceded in death by an infant sister, Helen and 2 brothers, Leonard Zolnierek and Joseph Zolnierek.
Memorial visitation Sunday at the Bannan Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Scott Lawler officiating.
