Chester Alexander Krawczak, 84, of Alpena passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at Medilodge of Green View.
Chester was born on September 10, 1934 in Rogers City to the late Alexander and Mary (Yarch) Krawczak. He served in the United States Air Force. On October 20, 1956, he married Theresa Koseba. Chester worked at Huron Portland Cement and Lafarge for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496, and Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa; two sons, David (Julie) Krawczak, Steve Krawczak; 4 grandchildren, Abbie Krawczak, Ashley (Joshua) Lefever; Drew Krawczak, Allison Krawczak; and sister, Alice Darga.
Mr. Krawczak was preceded in death by his four brothers, Albin, Louis, Joseph, Leonard; four sisters, Sophie Orban, Gertrude Haske, Eleanore Misiak, and Anna Dziesinski.
A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at Holy Cross Cemetery Chapel at 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott Lawler officiating, followed by military honors accorded him by Alpena V.F.W. Post 2496. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
