Mr. Young was born to Joseph and Lorine (Boutin) Young on June 20,
1920 in Alpena, the eldest of two sons. He graduated from Alpena Hi=
gh
in 1937. He started and practiced, mainly with the accounting firm of Young=
and
Nethercut, in the Alpena area from 1947 until his retirement in 1992.&nbs=
p;
He was a lifetime member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public
Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.&n=
bsp;
At the time of his death, Mr. Young was a member of the Fraternal Order o=
f Eagles
Aerie #1241, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #571 Alpena, and the American Leg=
ion
Post #0225. After receiving a bachelor's degree from the University of Michiga=
n in
1942, Warren served with the Army Signal Corps in the South Pacific
area. After the war, he returned to the University of Michigan to e=
arn
a master's degree in business administration. On October 23, 1982, he married Jeane M. (Richardson) Augustyn, who
survives, along with his brother, James "Jay" Young; five
stepchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchidren; and sever=
al
nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday from 4 p.m.
until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Michaud
officiating. Following his wishes, arrangements for cremation have
taken place. Inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice=
of
Michigan, Alpena Community College, or Alpena Regional Medical Center. |
