Grace Marie Smith, 65, of 131 Sitting Bull Road, Alpena, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at Alpena Regional Medical Center .

Grace was born in Cedartown , Georgia to Donald E. and Edna R. (Dempsey) Crame, and on October 4, 1985 married William H. Smith.  Until ill health forced her retirement, she was employed as a baker.

Grace was a member of  Alpena Free Methodist Church .

Surviving are her husband William, 2 children Eric and Tiffany Bartz of Grand Rapids, Lisa and Jeff Piper of Alpena, her parents Donald and Edna Crame of Alpena, 2 stepchildren Ronald Smith of Alpena, Blane and Phyllis Smith of North Carolina, 7 grandchildren, stepsister Nancy and Richard Carlton of Georgia, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceding her in death was her sister, Linda Krawczak.

Friends may call Friday at Alpena Free Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Luke Bedtelyon officiating.
