Harvey N. Habermehl, 81, 304 Liberty Street, Alpena, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 at home.

Harvey was born June 12, 1929 in Herron to the late Nelson and Hattie (Dehring) Habermehl and married E. Elaine Smith on September 2, 1950. Harvey worked at Cliff Anschuetz Chevrolet dealership until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 80 + 1 hunting camp and enjoyed antique cars.

Surviving are his wife Elaine, 3 children, Diane Sims, Jerry and Scott, 3 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jacob, Chassell; great grandson Jordan, and a sister Marian Gennrich.

Mr. Habermehl was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Charles, Robert, 3 sisters, Frances Prevo, Lillian Miller and Jeanette Chabot.

Mr. Habermehl is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Leslie Nye officiating.
