Helen June Grassel, 83, of 420 Austin Street, Hillman, surrounded by her family and friends, passed away at Medilodge of Hillman on Thursday, May 27, 2010.

Helen was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania on September 22, 1926 to the late Roy and Helen (Scanlon) Wymer and married Robert Grassel on June 15, 1946. She had been employed in the Detroit area as an L.P.N. and retired in 1990.

Surviving are her husband, Robert; friends, Deborah and Tom Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Helen in death was her son, Paul Grassel.

Cremation arrangements were handled by the Bannan Funeral Home. Private graveside services will take place at the Hillman/Rust Cemetery at a later date.
