Dorothy M. Goodrich, 84, of Alpena, passed away at the home of her daughter on Thursday, February 11, 2010, following a brief illness.

Born on May 17, 1925 in Tawas to the late Robert and Gertrude (Shampine) Geddert. Dorothy married Russell A. Goodrich on May 31, 1942 in Tawas City. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1996. She enjoyed walking at the Alpena Mall and was an avid gardener.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Sharon Holzwarth of Alpena, Rhoda Mills of Herron; 1 son, Bruce and wife Michelle of Ossineke; daughter-in-law, Sandi Goodrich; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; half-brothers, Jim Geddert, Emery Geddert, Jim Diebler, Dale Diebler; and brother-in-law, Everett Goodrich.

Mrs. Goodrich was preceded by one son, Russell Jr. in 2001, and special friend, Leo Fleming.

Visitation for Mrs. Goodrich will be held at the Bannan Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and where the funeral service will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rodney Haselhuhn officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
