Pearl M. Gilbertson, 95, of Alpena, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Tendercare/Alpena.

Pearl was born in Alpena on June 23, 1914 to the late James and Emma (Scheff) MacArthur and married Frank Gilbertson on October 10, 1938. Frank preceded her in death February 7, 1975.

She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Joyce (Mrs. Ronald) Lewandowski of Alpena, Kay (Mrs. Richard) Vitek of Saginaw; 1 son, Thomas (Lana) of Grand Blanc; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gladys Skowronek of Alpena, Shirley Robillard of Alpena, and 1 brother, Dennis (Darlene) MacArthur of Alpena.

Pearl was preceded in death by her son, James in 2001; 4 sisters, Mamie Strutz, June Leonart, Doris MacArthur, Bernadette MacArthur; and 6 brothers, Raymond, James, Donald, William, Jack and John.

Family and friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home where visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and will continue Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with Rev. Greg McCallum officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
