Mary Hulda Corpe, 85, of Hawks passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at her home.

Mary was born January 7, 1925 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the late LeRoy and Marie Louise (Duby) Demarest and married Bernard Corpe on June 30, 1945.

She was a member of Community of Christ Church of Lachine where she was always giving a hug. Mary enjoyed her time on the lake, watching birds especially Loons. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards.

Surviving are her husband Bernard; four children: Bernard F. and wife Jean of Gaylord, Brenda and husband Dennis Ormsbee of Graying, Bruce and wife Liisa of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Michael and wife Jeri of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and brother Leo and wife Margaret Demarest of Newberry.

Mrs. Corpe was preceded in death by three brothers: Ralph, Milton, Bill; four sisters: Hazel, Martha, Ada and Winnie.

Mrs. Corpe is at the Community of Christ Church in Lachine where friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and where funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Elders Dennis Ormsbee, Kenneth Summerix and Kenndall Summerix officiating. Arrangements by the Bannan Funeral Home.
