Evans Lloyd Brown, 83, of 6728 Mt. Maria Road, Hubbard Lake, passed away at home on Monday, August 2, 2010.

Evans was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 13, 1927 to the late Conley and Helen (O'Dell) Brown and graduated from Pontiac High School in 1945. He entered the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged in September 1946.

Evans became a journeyman tool and die maker after attending a four-year program at Pontiac Motor Division in 1948. He immediately enrolled in the General Motors Institute and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in August 1952. On September 3, 1955 he married the former Roberta Logan. Evans had been employed with General Motors for 36 years, retiring in 1987.

Surviving are his wife, Roberta Brown; 3 children, Michael Evans Brown, David Brian Brown, Shannon Brown Isaacs; and 3 grandchildren, Erica Marie Brown, Heather Lee Brown, and Reid Bernard Isaacs.

A memorial service will be held at the Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, Michigan on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
