Ethel Morrison, 87, of 9608 Nicholson Hill Road, Hubbard Lake, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007, at Tendercare/Greenview.

Born December 23, 1919 to Thadius and Edna (Fales) Brown in Wolverine, Michigan and married Clarence J. Morrison January 23, 1938 in Gaylord. He preceded her in death December 22, 1974.
For over 60 years Mrs. Morrison was an active member of the Salvation Army Church and it's Order of the Silver Star, a foster grandparent for many years, and active as a foster parent.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Donna and husband Tedd Galloway of Hubbard Lake, Carol McKay of Sault Ste. Marie, 4 sons: Charles and wife Martha of Alpena, Clarence John Jr. and wife Juanita of New York, Daniel and wife Gail of Alpena, Lee and wife Melody of Minnesota, 25 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; 4 brothers, Norman and wife Lorraine Brown, Charles Brown, Gordon and wife Betty Brown, Leslie and wife Jackie Brown; and 3 sisters: Dorothy and husband Russell Phillips, Gladys and husband Wesley Spigelmyre, and Hazel and husband Charles Thomas.
Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by infant daughter, daughter in law Sandy Morrison; 3 brothers John Brown, Edward Brown, Clarence Brown; 1 sister Geraldine Philips.
Mrs. Morrison is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Monday from 2-8 p.m. and where funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 12 noon with Major Eva Coleman (retired Salvation Army) officiating.
Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
