A memorial service for Terry Thomas Lapczynski, 49, of 126 E. Spratt Street, Alpena, who passed away October 8, 2007 will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church.

Terry was born in Alpena on August 4, 1958 to Frank J. and Mary J. (Skowronek) Lapczynski, and married Marti Long on September 21, 1995.  He sailed  the Great Lakes for 15 1/2 years.

Surviving are his wife, Marti; daughter, Heather Lapczynski of Grand Rapids; 6 stepchildren:  Tommy and Rose Helinski of Alpena, Julie and Jim Kibble of Sault Ste. Marie, Jodie Taylor of Virginia, Jennifer and Bill Lancewicz of Alpena, Jason Helinski of Alpena, and Scott and Brenda Helinski of Alpena; his parents, Frank and Mary Lapczynski; 14 grandchildren, and a brother, Gary Lapczynski.

Preceding him in death was his grandson, Lawrence LaFave.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Alpena at a later date.  Arrangements were handled by Bannan Funeral Home.
