Elaine Victoria Zann, 84, of 150 Canterbury Lane, Alpena, passed away on Wednesday, June 13,
2012, at Tendercare/Greenview.
Elaine was born in Bay City, Michigan on July 24, 1927 to the late Hugo and Victoria (Biskupski) Zann. She had worked for the Gaylord Catholic Diocese for 11 years and then for the Alpena Public School system as an accountant for 14 years, retiring in 1988.
Elaine was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Group #4, St. Elizabeth Society and taught faith formation classes.
Surviving are a sister, Joan Glenz of Arizona; 2 sisters-in-law, Marge Zann, June Zann; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were 4 brothers, Hugo Zann, James Zann, Jerome (Beverly) Zann, Patrick Zann; and brother in law Buck Glenz.
Visitation for Elaine Zann will be held at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday from 2 - 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 3:00 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Greg McCallum officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
