Shirley Jean Rea

Shirley Jean Rea, 76, of 1030 Pine Road, Alpena, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Tendercare – Greenview.

Shirley Jean Bonin was born in Trout Creek, Michigan on November 20, 1935 to the late Francis and Leona (Grabel) Bonin and married Ralph Rea, Sr. on June 6, 1952.  He preceded her in death on November 13, 2009.

Surviving are 5 children, James, Colleen Burns, Ralph Jr., Julie Rea, Janet Rea; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; her brothers, George, Harry, Rick, Roy Anderson and their families; 2 brothers-in-law, Grant Smith, Donald Budd; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rea was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Bonin, Richard Bonin; 2 sisters, Doris Mae Smith and Gladys Marie Budd.

Cremation has taken place and a family gathering will take place at a later date in Trout Creek.  Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
