Beatrice B. Huggler, 87, of 244 N. Ripley Blvd., Alpena, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Tendercare - Alpena.

Beatrice was born in Alpena on February 21, 1921 to the late John and Anne (Malka) Idalski. She sacrificed her youth (13 years of age) when she became responsible for running the household upon her mother's untimely death. She later found happiness with Richard Huggler, the man she married on May 9, 1942. While raising their four boys, Beatrice enjoyed watching baseball and playing bingo. She and Dick later discovered Las Vegas, enjoying many returning trips. Beatrice was a hard worker who kept an immaculate house and valued that in others as well.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Dick; loving mother of 4 sons, Wayne (Nyla) Huggler of Alpena, John (Patricia) Huggler of Florida, Michael (Spi) Huggler of Okemos, Paul (Cynthia) Huggler of Ossineke; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Earlene Glomski.

Preceding her in death was her brother, Richard Idalski.

Family and friends may call at Bannan Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Patrick Maher officiating.
