Deborah Ann (LaPrairie) Grant of Alpena, Michigan died unexpectedly at her home on February 19, 2008.

Deborah was born on May 11, 1951 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Charles H. Grant, Sr. and Catherine Grant Lindy. Deborah grew up in Chisholm, Minnesota where she attended school until the family moved to Midland, Michigan. She graduated from Midland High School and Hillsdale College where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.

Preceding her in death were her father, Charles H. Grant, Sr., and brother, Charles H. Grant, Jr.

She is survived by her mother, Catherine Grant Lindy, and stepfather, Lowell B. Lindy, of Midland, Michigan; daughter, Jaime Lamendola (Joseph) of North Aurora, Illinois; son, Jared Shoemaker, of Saginaw, Michigan; nephew, Charles H. Grant III, of St. Paul, Minnesota; 3 grandsons, Alexander and Austin Lamendola of North Aurora, Illinois, Brendon M. J. Grabow of Alpena; stepsister, Marla Lindy; and stepbrothers, Kurt Lindy and Larry Lindy all of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home on Friday from 2 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. with Rev. James Kendziorski officiating.
