Anthony Bert Erickson, 73, 115 W. Bingham St., Alpena passed away Friday, December 28, 2007, at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

Born August 15, 1934, in Alpena to the late Anthony and Clara (Tulish) Erickson and married Mary Donajowski November 19, 1956 in Alpena. Mr. Erickson worked for Inland Lakes sailing the Great Lakes on the Alpena, Inglehart and the Crapo for over 31 years, retiring in 1997. Mr. Erickson was a member of Leer Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Mary; six children: Mary (Ron) Zitlau of Alpena, Erick (Valerie) Erickson, Sr. of Alpena, Janet (Mike) Bagnieschi of Alpena, Roberta Lendon of Las Vegas, Connie (Ray) Kirl of Swannanoa, NC, and Michael (Sarah) Erickson of Alpena; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Emma Kensa of Alpena; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Erickson was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Bert Erickson in 1965.

Mr. Erickson is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at the Leer Lutheran Church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Clapp officiating.
