Margaret Jane (Diemond) Elowsky, 79, of Alpena, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Wednesday morning, October 31, 2007. She had her beloved husband of 58 years and family by her side.

Margaret was born in Alpena on October 26, 1928 to Edward and Margaret (Bromund) Diemond and married Edwin Elowsky on July 2, 1949 in Alpena.
Margaret's family and church will greatly miss her. She was very involved with her church as well as numerous ministries in the Alpena area. For over 20 years she volunteered for hospice, and they were a support and blessing during her illness.
She was also very active with the Alpena Right to Life organization. We know that all those who believe in Christ will be reunited, and we look forward to that day. She fought the good fight of faith.
Surviving are her husband, Edwin; 5 children, Larry (Barb) Elowsky, Bonnie (Ken) Benac, Peggy Todd, Marily (Roger) Burk, Myra Rupright; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings, Duane (Laura) Diemond, Joyce McLain, Phyllis Donakowski, Deanna Skidmore, all of Alpena, Ralph (Kay) Diemond of Lincoln, and Glen Diemond of Ossineke.
Mrs. Elowsky is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Friday from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at First Assembly of God, 164 N. Ripley Blvd., Alpena from 10:00 a.m. until a service honoring her life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Arthur Fournier officiating.
Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
Memorials: Hospice of Michigan or First Assembly of God in Alpena
