William Joseph Dubie, 83, of Alpena passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the home of his daughter in East Tawas.

Born December 3, 1923 to Edmond and Cora (Cousineau) Dubie and married Virginia (Badder) Christopherson on August 21, 1976 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.  She preceded him is death on July 9, 2003. They owned and operated the Country Inn in Lincoln, retiring in 1998 and moving back to Alpena.

Bill was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, VFW Alpena Post 2490.  He enjoyed Bingo, casino, hunting and gardening.

Surviving are 4 children;Kirk (Frankie) Dubie of Alaska, Karen (Jozef) Drozdowski of East Tawas,  Kenneth (Tammy) of Herron, Michael (Linda) Dubie of Alaska; 3 step daughters Sandra Reiser of California, Kay (Rev. Fred) Neumann of Bay City, Mary Ann (Roy) Thibodeau of Grosse Pointe Woods; 1 step son Wayne (Chris) Christopherson; 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson Nathan Joseph Bindschatel; 1 sister Audrey (Robert) Chaput of Alpena.

Mr. Dubie was preceded in death by 1 great granddaughter Amayja Marari Dubie;1 sister Lucille Bouchey 6 brothers Wilfred, Merle, Raymond, Robert, Donald and Arnold.

Mr. Dubie is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 with Rev. James Kendziorski officiating.  Full military honors will be accord him at the church by VFW Post 2496.
