Margaret M. Dubey of 9430 US-23 North, Alpena, passed away peacefully on, Saturday November 3, 2007 at Tendercare - Greenview.

She was born in Alpena County on December 18, 1917 to William and Josephine (Boynton) Mayou.  In her early years she worked as a domestic, helping neighborhood families.  Later in life, Margaret was employed at the Garment Factory in Alpena for a few years.  She was a 4-H Leader for many years and active in fund raising projects at Hinks School.

On June 24, 1938, she married Leo W. Dubey at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Bouchard officiating.  They owned and operated Leo W. Dubey Excavating for over 50 years.  After retiring they built a new home on Long Lake.  Leo preceded her in death on May 29, 1999.  Margaret was a lifetime member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

Margaret loved camping with family and friends as well as her many fishing excursions to Canada.  She was the last surviving Charter Member of Alpena Eagles Auxiliary #1241, which recently celebrated 57 years as an organization.  She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle # 975, Presque Isle Lions Club, Honorary member of Aid by the Dozen Group #2, St. Anne's Ladies Sodality and enjoyed activities at the Senior Center.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel McConnel and Madline Gagnon, one brother Arthur Mayou, one half sister Emma Schryler and two half-brothers William and Frank Glennie.  She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer Dubey, one grandson Brian Kieliszewski and one great grandson Brandon Daleski.  Her sister Lorine Jack survives.

Surviving are five children: two daughters; Donna (Terry) Anderson, Carole (James) Kieliszewski, three sons Larry (Christine) Dubey, Lee (Elgene) Dubey and David Dubey, all of Alpena.  Eight grandchildren: Patrick (Norma) Anderson, Lori Murphy (Friend Dave), Steve (Diane) Anderson, James (Amy) Kieliszewski, Tammy (Thomas) Daleski, Greg (Kandice) Kieliszewski, Jason (Laura) Dubey and Amy (Erich) Carlson.  Fourteen great grandchildren; Ryan Anderson, Crystal Anderson, Trisha Anderson, Sarah Niedzwiecki, Eric Niedzwiecki, Samantha Murphy, Jamie Murphy, Brandi Anderson, Megan Anderson, James Kieliszewski III, Elizabeth Kieliszewski, Casandra Daleski, Brooke Daleski, Avery Dubey, Evan Carlson and Brady Carlson.  One great great grandchild Haley Niedzwiecki and many nieces, nephews and friends.

As per her wishes, Mrs. Dubey's body has been cremated.  Family and friends may gather on Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 noon with Rev. Fr. Daniel Madigan officiating.  Arrangements handled by Bannan Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Aid by the Dozen Group #2, St. Anne Catholic Church or Individual's Choice.

Inurnment:  Holy Cross Cemetery
