Patrick Reed Doyle Jr., 60, of Alpena, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

Patrick was born in Alpena to the late Patrick and Joyce (Bezotte) Doyle Sr. on October 12, 1947.  He served in the U.S. Navy over 13 years, receiving several commendations, and was discharged in 1982 as a Chief Storekeeper.

Mr. Doyle was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, D.A.V., and V.F.W 2496.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Johnson of Virginia; 4 brothers, Jere (Mary) of Washington, MI, Michael (Ruth) of Georgia,  Mark (Joanne) of Midland, Stephen (Ruth) of Grayling; 2 sisters, Judy (James) LaPorte of Owosso,  Joan  Timm of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his sister, Jane McNeil.

Mr. Doyle is at Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and where a parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue Saturday at St. Bernard Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Kendziorski officiating.  Full military honors will be accorded him by V.F.W. 2496 at the cemetery.
