On October 17, 2008, Kristyn Leigh Diemond was taken by the Lord. Born October 2, 1988, she lived her entire life in Alpena, Michigan. Kristyn graduated from High School and the Hollywood School of Beauty in 2006 and worked as a licensed cosmetologist until present. Kristyn was also an avid hockey player with the Alpena Independent Hockey Organization and had a profound love for animals and people. Kristyn was a joy to everyone who knew her and will be missed by all.

Kristyn Leigh Diemond is survived by her parents, William and Sandra Diemond, a sister, Alecia, and a brother, Gregory, all of Alpena; grandparents, Orville and Edith McGirr of Lachine and Richard and Fannie Diemond of Alpena; aunts and uncles, Robert and Deb Diemond, Scott and Judy Black, Michael and Cindy Szydlowski, Charles and Brenda Manning, Lisa McGirr, Steve and Amy Worm, and many great aunts and uncles and cousins.
Kristyn is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call today from 2:00 8:00 P.M. and where funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Barry Stricker officiating. Interment will follow in King Settlement Cemetery
Memorials may be made to Alpena Independent girls/women’s hockey or the Alpena Humane Society in memory of Kristyn.
Kristyn was loved and respected by those who knew her by her contagious smile.
