Marian Alice Derry, 83, of 358 N. Addison Street, Alpena, passed away Sunday January 13, 2008 at her home.

Marian was born in Alma, Michigan on March 2, 1924 to the late Roy and Bessie (Coleman) Wang.

She was a member of the Salvation Army Church, Alpena Garden Club, Golden Agers, Home League, a foster grandparent, and past board member of the Alpena Boys and Girls Club.

Surviving are 9 children:  Erlene and Don Ranger of Barton City, Craig Derry of Grand Rapids, Nancy and Edward Hier of Ossineke, Rockford and Mary Derry of Alaska, Debby and Ken Rhoads of Alpena, Jennifer and John Sample of Linwood, Rick and Molly Derry of Oregon, Jeffrey and Rocolyn Derry of Alaska, Lori and Bill Boucher of Alpena; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Norma Henry of Connecticut and Leora Bartosh of Florida.

Preceding her in death were her son, Timothy; brother, John; and sister, Ellen.

Family and friends may call at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the Salvation Army Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. with Capt. Jason Schall officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery
