Earl W. Daoust, age 75, of 123 W. Webster Road, Alpena, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 in Montmorency County.

Born March 1, 1932 in Alpena to Earl and Leora (Weir) Daoust, Earl was a life long resident of the area.  Earl served in the U. S. Air Force and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 2496.  On September 28, 1957, Earl married June Gagnon and together they had three sons.  After returning from the Air Force, Earl was employed for over thirty years at Fletcher Paper Manufacturing retiring in 1994 as a pipe fitter.  Mr. Daoust was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sons, Larry and Mary of Alpena, Keith and Lori of Portage, and Bryan and Timberly of Portage; five grandchildren, Jordan, James, Lindsey, Brittany and Rachel, one brother Mr. And Mrs. Eugene "Buck" Daoust, and two sisters, Mary Kowalski and Marlene Johnson both of Alpena.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the memorial mass at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Father Daniel Madigan officiating.
