Charles M. Crowe, 67, of 2315 Papin Street, Ossineke, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, July 7, 2008, after battling cancer for several months.

Charles was born June 14, 1941 to Fredrick and Edna Crowe in Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada. He and Margaret McCormick were married January 7, 1967 in Port Huron, Michigan. The Crowes had no children but found it a blessing to sponsor 14 children through Christian Children's Fund in 5 countries over a period of 30 years.
Charles was employed by the State of Michigan for 28 years, retiring in 1997. He spent the last 22 years of his employment in the Licensing Division, as a Licensing Consultant. He licensed Adult Foster Care Homes in a six-county area.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; a nephew, Sean (Phillipa) Crowe; a niece Janine (Jason) Rake; and a sister-in-law Marje (the late John) Crowe; and 5 cousins all of Ontario, Canada.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, George and John.
Charles is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and where the funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Edward Morrison officiating.
