Alice (Mrs. Arthur) Cornell, 89, of 6363 Bolton Rd., Alpena passed away Saturday April 5, 2008 at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

The former Alice Schalkofski was born at Hubbard Lake December 13, 1918. She married Arthur Cornell in 1955 in Detroit. He preceded her in death February 4, 2003. Three brothers, three sisters and son-in-law Clarence Millard preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter Alwina Millard of Alpena; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Cornell is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Owens officiating.

Interment: Pilgrim Rest Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund.
