Celia A. Contoyanis, 90, of 123 White Street, Alpena, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Tendercare/Alpena.

Born Celia A. Ameche in Kenosha, Wisconsin on April 17, 1917 to Angelo and Mary (Cesari) Ameche. Celia married Peter Contoyanis and they had been married 53 years at the time of his death in 2000.

Surviving are one daughter, Jody Odelberg of Alpena; grandson, Eric Odelberg of Alpena; granddaughter, Ashley Odelberg of Clearwater, Florida; and a sister, Irene Portanova of Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Preceding her in death were 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be held at the Bannan Funeral Home Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Wisconsin.

Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to Hospice of NE Michigan or your local Hospice
