Lois Jane Chapman, 76, of 200 Long Rapids Plaza, Alpena, passed away at Tendercare/Alpena on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.

Born in Alpena on March 25, 1932 to Fred and Celia (Olmstead) Lyons and married Eugene Chapman.

Surviving are 2 sons, Stephen (Sue) Chapman of Ossineke, Jeffrey Chapman of Grand Rapids; granddaughter, Amy (Chuck) Drane; 4 great-grandchildren, Chelsea Drane, Kara Chapman, Travis Drane, Brennan Drane; 2 brothers, Fred (Rita) Lyons of Alpena and Merton Lyons of Alpena; mother-in-law, Lois W. Chapman; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Eugene; grandson, Rodney; and 4 sisters, Berna Wozniak, Margaret Idalski, Lenore Adamski and Ruth Cole.

Visitation will be held at Bannan Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and will continue Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Owens officiating.
