Michael Budz, 88, of Alpena, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Tendercare - Greenview.

Born in Canada on February 22, 1920 to the late John and Mary (Caruk) Budz and married Janet Rakicki on October 20, 1950. Mr. Budz served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II, later was employed as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 1979, and moved to Alpena in 1988. He was a life member of American Legion for over 60 years, life member of D.A.V., and a life member of P.L.A.V.

Mr. Budz is survived by his wife, Janet.

A private service has taken place at the Bannan Funeral Home.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
