Julia Joan Bruski, 86, of 124 W. Crapo St., Alpena, passed away peacefully Monday, September 15, 2008, at Tendercare - Alpena surrounded by her loving family.

Julia was born on October 6, 1921 to the late Peter and Agnes (Kieliszewski) Purol and married Aloysius Bruski on August 27, 1945. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1976. Mrs. Bruski was a lifelong member of St. Anne Catholic Church, its Sodality, Adult Choir, Daughters of Isabella; and, for 17 years, Julia was a cook at St. Anne School.

Surviving are 6 sons, Charles and Linda of Alpena, Leonard and Julie of Alpena, Patrick and Linda of Clare, Daniel and Sally of Posen, Conrad and Cyndi of Alpena, and Timothy and Molly of Alpena; 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Blanche St. Charles and Monica Sucharski, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were 5 sisters, Sister Mary Arthur, Mary Misiak, Theresa Wozniak, Anna Misiak, Veronica Hoppe; and 2 brothers, Peter and Paul Purol.

Mrs. Bruski is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m with a rosary and liturgy service at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Lawrence Hoppe officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
