Norma Josephine Brousseau, 86, of 2550 Grant Street, Alpena, passed away at Alpena Regional Medical Center on Sunday, June 22, 2008.

Born Norma Josephine Belanger on September 7, 1921 in Alpena to the late Napoleon and Emma (Surprenent) Belanger. On April 21, 1945 she married Alfred Roy Brousseau, and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2004.

Mrs. Brousseau was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, its Ladies Sodality, and enjoyed reading.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Patricia Martin of Texas, Jane and Tom Standen of Alpena, Jean and Tom Thomas of Alpena; 2 sons, James and Marcia of Alpena, Thomas and Patricia of Alpena; and the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren; and most recently 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her sister, Bette de Olazarra, and son-in-law, Chuck Martin.

Mrs. Brousseau is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on

Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. James Kendziorski officiating.
