Betty I. Brandt, age 85, of Hillman died Friday, February 8, 2008 at home. Born January 14, 1923 in Rust Township to the late N. Elmer and Lela (Klein) Hostetler, Betty had been a resident of the Hillman area all her life. On June 29, 1946, Betty married Lee Brandt and he preceded her in death November 2, 1985. Betty was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Royston and retired from the U.S. Post Office in 1985 as a mail carrier.

Betty is survived by four daughters, Judith McLeod of Flushing, Sherilyn Jones of Lewiston, Patti Gillis and her husband, John of Montana and Melissa Balog and her husband, Curt of Hillman; six sons, Lee and his wife, Mona of Hillman, Gary and his wife, JoLynn of Montrose, Michael and his wife, Flo of Hillman, Robert of Hillman, Donald of Roscommon and Scott of Hillman; 28 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Hyder of Hillman.
Besides her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a grandson, Johnny Jones, two brothers, Garnet and Garrison Hostetler, and one sister, Marjorie Connon.
Visitation for Mrs. Brandt is Monday 2:00 8:00 P.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Royston with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jason Mandley officiating. Arrangements are handled by Bannan Funeral Home - HILLMAN
