John F. Beaushaw, 79, of 3498 French Road, Alpena, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Tendercare Greenview.

Born in Barton City on June 17, 1928 to the late Fred and Doris Beaushaw, he married the former Gertrude Hanke on February 16, 1975. John was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and had been employed sailing on the Great Lakes. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and farming.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude; 6 children, John of Saginaw, Mark of Alaska, Barbara and Dennis Scott of Bay City, Bruce and Kathy of Florida, Michael of Georgia, David of Alpena; 4 stepchildren, Richard Wasylk of Alpena, Debra and Wilfred Dubey of Alpena, Joseph and Cathy Wasylk of Arizona, Leeroy and Tammy Wasylk of Lachine; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean and Garnet Mills of Virginia.

Mr. Beaushaw is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Kirby officiating.
