Orville Bartreau, 85, of 1013 Pohl Rd. Alpena, passed away Sunday December 2, 2007 at Tendercare - Alpena.

Born December 2, 1922 in Harrisville to Raymond and Sarah (Swindlehurst) Bartreau and married Arlene Wilson on October 7, 1950. Mr. Bartreau served in the United States Navy during W.W.II where he received 8 Battle Stars. Mr. Bartreau worked as an Ironworker until his retirement in 1984. Orville was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a life member of VFW Alpena Post 2496.

Surviving are his wife Arlene; 3 daughters: Mary Ann Bartreau of Negaunee, Pat and husband Jim LaFleur of Alpena, Sarah and husband Mike Scull of Alpena; 3 sons Robert of Alpena, Tom of Michigan City, Jimmy and wife Becky of Alpena; 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 1 brother Stanley and wife Lucille of Alpena.

Mr. Bartreau was preceded in death by 1 brother Hank, 2 sisters Lorraine "Toots" Smith and Alice Liss.

Mr. Bartreau is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 Noon with Rev. James Erickson officiating.
