Russell Louis Banks, 41, of 6100 Misery Bay Rd., Alpena passed away suddenly of an apparent heart attack on Saturday May 3, 2008 at home.

Russell was born in Onaway on December 19, 1966 to Elmer and Sybil (Rondeau) Banks. He was a member of the Elks and the Eagles. Russell enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers and had a love for music.

Surviving are his parents Elmer and Sybil of Alpena; three children Danielle, Kory and Kortney of Georgia, one sister Beverly and husband Graham Kannowski of Alpena; a niece Brice; a nephew Gabe; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Russell is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and where funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Greg McCallum officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
