Curt L. Fortier, 53, of Auburn Hills, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 3, 2009.

Born in Alpena on February 21, 1956 to the late Ernest and Florence (St. Charles) Fortier. Curt worked as a journeyman electrician with General Motors for over 25 years and enjoyed a second career as a "close-up" magician. His love of the art took him all over the world.

Surviving are 2 sisters: Phyllis (Gerald) Hodorowski of Lapeer, Ernestine (Dennis) Heringshausen of Caseville; 2 brothers: Norman (Darlene) Fortier of Ossineke, Richard (Elaine) Fortier of Alpena and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fortier was preceded in death by one brother Raymond Fortier.

Mr. Fortier is at the Bannan Funeral Home where friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at St. Catherine Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Robert Bissot officiating.
