Joyce Marie Fitzpatrick, 77, of 726 Sable Street, Alpena, passed away at home on Friday, June 12, 2009.

Joyce was born in Alpena on March 6, 1932 to the late Victor and Gladys (Bellmore) DeCaire. On April 6, 1951 she married Lloyd E. Fitzpatrick at St. Bernard Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death on August 28, 2006. Mrs. Fitzpatrick had been employed for several years at Midway Grocery.

Joyce was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Dawn (Mrs. Ronald) Carpenter of Alpena, Carol (Mrs. Robert) Kaiser of Alpena, Mary Jo (Mrs. Terry) Dubie of Alaska; 3 sons, Dennis of Alpena, Randy of Alpena, David (Luann) of Alpena; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert DeCaire of Alpena, Gerald DeCaire of Alpena; and 1 sister, Barbara Muszynski of Alpena.

Preceding her in death was her sister, Geraldine Ellis.

Mrs. Fitzpatrick is at the Bannan Funeral Home where family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at St. Anne Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Patrick Maher officiating.
