Frank E. Eagle, 88, of Hillman, passed away at Alpena Regional Medical Center on Monday, April 13, 2009.

Frank was born in Spratt on May 16, 1920 to the late Frank and Pearl (McNeil) Eagle. On November 9, 1946 he married Barbara Ranger. Frank had been employed as a millwright in the automotive industry in the Detroit area. He enjoyed the woods and hunting, but his family always came first.

He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara; son, Steven and wife Debbie of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie and husband John Stewart and Jennifer Eagle; 1 great-granddaughter, Kaylee Olivia Stewart; 4 sisters, Irene Benac, June Guy, Jean and husband Spark Munroe , Eleanor Timm; and a brother, Wesley and wife Joyce.

Preceding him in death were 3 sisters, Margaret Dew, Vilia Brandenburg, Loretta Smith; and 2 brothers, Robert and Cecil "Doc."

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Hillman on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. with funeral services at church Friday at 12 noon. Arrangements handled by Bannan Funeral Home.
