E. Joan (Brown) Dulmage, 89, of Ocqueoc, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Golden Beach Manor.

Joan was born June 26, 1920 to Elmer and Mabel (Ledgerwood) Brown in Indiana. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1939 and married Emery Dulmage at the First Methodist Church in Highland Park, Michigan in 1941. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family business. Joan loved the Lord, arts and crafts, theatre, music and travel. After retirement, she and Emery moved from Redford Twp. to Ocqueoc.

Surviving are two daughters, Sondra Whiting of Texas, Rhonda ( Gregory) Proulx of Ossineke and Ocqueoc; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Margaret Brown of Farmington.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Robert Brown, Rev. L. Maxwell Brown; and one daughter, Pamela Wilson.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Bannan Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 5, 11:00 a.m. at the Millersburg United Methodist Church.
